Amazon-owned Zoox has published the safety-case framework it used to clear its purpose-built robotaxi for commercial deployment, as the company begins charging passengers in Las Vegas. The framework combines simulations, closed-course tests and real-world driving data to estimate whether the entire service is significantly safer than human driving.
