Amazon Web Services (AWS) added an "AI traffic monetization" capability to its AWS WAF Bot Control around June 15, 2026, letting content owners served via CloudFront charge AI bots an access fee per request and receive payment in USDC on the Base and Solana networks. The move turns AI bot traffic that previously could only be classified or blocked into something publishers can directly monetize at the edge.
