Anthropic on June 23, 2026 released Claude Tag, an always-on AI teammate that lives inside Slack, as a research preview. The feature joins designated channels to continuously learn conversational context and lets users delegate tasks via @Claude, with availability limited to customers on the Claude Enterprise and Claude Team plans. According to TechCrunch's reporting, Claude Tag extends the existing Claude Slack app, moving beyond prior capabilities such as direct messages and on-demand tagging toward an "always-on" model that persistently retains an organization's specific context.
