David George, a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz and a SpaceX investor, said in a Bloomberg report that Starship's rapid reusability will be key to expanding AI computing capacity under Elon Musk's plan for orbital data centers. George argued that as ground-based data center capacity faces constraints, extending AI capacity into space becomes inevitable once Starship enters full operation, describing future satellites as "aircraft-sized GPU racks." He said orbital data centers would at minimum serve as complementary capacity to terrestrial facilities and could become economically advantageous over time, adding that SpaceX has already demonstrated the technical ability to deploy them, Bloomberg reported.
