Google said on June 22, 2026 that it will invest about $75 million in the New York indie studio A24 and partner with its Google DeepMind unit to jointly build new AI tools for film production and distribution. It marks Google's first investment in a movie studio, and the two sides describe it as a "first-of-its-kind," multiyear and non-exclusive R&D partnership.
