Microsoft on June 2 unveiled seven new in-house AI models under its "MAI (Microsoft AI)" family, presented through a keynote by Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman at Microsoft Build 2026 in San Francisco. Spanning reasoning, code, image, voice and transcription, all were emphasized as built "from the ground up" on a "single pipeline" with "clean data lineage." The series of announcements was showcased during the Build 2026 keynote.
