Broadcom, Apollo, Blackstone Back $35B AI Chip Deal for Anthropic

Broadcom, Apollo Global Management and Blackstone's Credit & Insurance business on June 9, 2026 launched the "AI XPV Platform," a financing vehicle for AI compute, with an initial $35 billion to expand Anthropic's capacity beyond 1 GW. Funded through an Apollo-led private credit tranche, the rollout will begin in mid-2026 at Fluidstack-operated data centers running Broadcom's custom chips. According to the Apollo and Broadcom announcement, the framework aims to become a template for delivering more than 20 GW of capacity by 2028 to major AI labs including Anthropic and OpenAI.
