GLM-5.2, the flagship model released by Z.ai (formerly Zhipu AI), has reached 5th place in the "Mobile App Dev" category of the Design Arena AI benchmark with an Elo of 1257. That marks a two-position jump from its predecessor GLM-5.1, placing it in the same performance band as Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Claude Opus 4.6. Z.ai is positioned as the top open-weight lab in the category.
