SLB, the world's largest oilfield-services company, has agreed to partner with Liberty Energy to provide modular components and on-site power generation for data centers, in one of the clearest signs yet that traditional energy firms are pivoting to capture surging AI-driven electricity demand. Under the deal reported on July 14, 2026, SLB will design and supply prefabricated parts while Liberty Energy delivers natural gas-fired power generation, combining to support data-center development on a global scale.
