Sony Ends Domestic aibo Sales but Says It Will Keep the Brand and Develop a Successor

Sony Group announced on June 25, 2026, that domestic sales of its dog-shaped autonomous robot "aibo (ERS-1000)" will end once remaining stock runs out. On a June 27 official broadcast, however, developers stated clearly that "aibo is not going away," confirming that the brand and services will continue and that development of a successor has begun.
