OpenAI plans to forgo a broad public launch of its next frontier model, GPT-5.6, and instead offer it through a limited preview to a small group of partners following a U.S. government request, according to reports. Citing cybersecurity concerns, the rollout will reportedly require the government to approve access on a customer-by-customer basis.
