Meta has signed a deal to lease its first AI-enabled data center in India, in Jamnagar in the western state of Gujarat, in partnership with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Under the agreement, RIL will build and operate the facility while Meta leases it, with an initial first-phase capacity of 168 megawatts (MW) expected to be available within two years.
