Silicon Data, founded in 2024 by former Bloomberg employee Carmen Li, has launched the Silicon Data H100 Rental Index (Bloomberg ticker: SDH100RT), described as the first index to track NVIDIA H100 cloud rental prices daily, aiming to bring price discovery to the AI compute market. The index, which rolled out around May 27, 2025, benchmarks the hourly spot rental price of H100 GPUs globally. According to coverage of the launch, it is the first of its kind for AI chips.
