Uber said on June 17 that it will bring a premium robotaxi service to Houston by mid-2027, built in partnership with EV maker Lucid and autonomous-driving startup Nuro. Houston is the second U.S. market under the partnership; the first, the San Francisco Bay Area, is slated to begin commercial operations in late 2026.
