Microsoft's in-house Microsoft AI division has released its image generation and editing model MAI-Image-2.5 along with a lighter variant, MAI-Image-2.5-Flash. On the community-driven Arena leaderboards, it placed third for text-to-image generation and second for image editing (image-to-image), and the company says it surpassed Google's Nano Banana Pro.
