An independent developer used GPT-5.5 to re-translate more than 23,000 papers from China's preprint server ChinaXiv into English, publishing them for free on chinarxiv.org. By replacing a complex legacy OCR pipeline with a single model call, the site now offers more complete English versions, the developer said.
