Anthropic said on June 26, 2026 that, following notification from the US government, it would restore access to its top cybersecurity model "Claude Mythos 5" for a limited set of US organizations that operate and defend critical infrastructure. The group includes more than 100 entities, among them Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies, for a model that had been fully suspended on export-control grounds.
