Electronic Arts' research group SEED has open-sourced Mesh2Splat, a tool that converts 3D meshes directly into a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) representation. Its key feature is performing the mesh-to-3DGS conversion in milliseconds without any training, a process that previously took minutes to tens of minutes.
