On June 9, 2026, Google launched a public preview of "Gemini 3.5 Live Translate," a new model that converts spoken audio directly into translated speech. Developers can use it immediately via the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, while consumers get it in the Google Translate app (Android/iOS) and enterprises through a Google Meet private preview rolling out from June. It appears in the AI Studio model list as gemini-3.5-live-translate-preview (also seen as Gemini-3.5-translate-preview).
