OpenMontage, an open-source agentic system that turns coding AIs into a video production studio, gathered roughly 17,000 GitHub stars in a single week and topped the Trending list. Released by calesthio, the project aims to convert existing AI coding assistants — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex and Windsurf — into an environment that autonomously handles end-to-end production, from research and scripting to asset generation, editing and final rendering.
