The U.S. Department of Justice announced on June 18, 2026, that it has charged Anthony Belford, a 21-year-old New York resident, with federal cyberstalking for allegedly bombarding a Georgia college student with AI-generated nude images and racist messages. According to the indictment, Belford spent roughly three months from January to March 2025 targeting the victim using fake social media and email accounts, repeatedly posting AI-generated nude images online. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia said the FBI led the investigation.
