Google has made the origin trial for WebMCP, its new proposal for in-browser AI agents, available in Chrome 149. The mechanism lets websites expose structured tools directly to a browser's built-in AI agent; developers who sign up can integrate the experimental feature in live user environments and help shape future iterations of the API.
