OpenAI and Anthropic have hired waves of Salesforce employees, mostly in sales and marketing roles, since the start of 2026, with more than 45 moving to Anthropic and close to 40 to OpenAI. Over the past 18 months the combined total approaches roughly 100, according to a tally based on LinkedIn data. The recruiting drive appears tied to both companies' push to build out their enterprise go-to-market (GTM) operations (1, 2).
