Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said the company is likely to sell racks of its in-house Trainium AI accelerators directly to third parties outside the AWS cloud within the next two years. If realized, it would put the largest cloud provider in direct hardware competition with Nvidia, which holds more than 80% of the AI chip market.
