Amazon said on June 25 it will invest an additional $13 billion in India to expand its AI and cloud infrastructure, lifting its planned India investment for 2026 to 2030 to a total of $48 billion. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced the AI and cloud commitment through 2030 the same day after meeting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. According to the announcement, the money will mainly go toward expanding data center capacity in AWS's Mumbai and Hyderabad regions.
