GitHub, the Microsoft-owned company, has officially launched the beta of "GitHub Certified: Agentic AI Developer" (exam code GH-600), its first official certification for engineers who build and operate autonomous AI agents. Going beyond prompt engineering and coding assistance, it is the first to formalize the role of designing, monitoring and governing entire AI agent systems as a credential, with general availability (GA) planned for July 2026 (details).
